Introduction
The responsibilities of Office of Secretariat include general administration as well as coordinating the activities of all NSYSU units under the direction of the President. The Secretariat is therefore involved in both "execution" and "communication".
In the organizational charter of the university, the Secretariat is responsible for general secretarial affairs, planning, management reviews and media resources. Actual manpower and activities have however evolved in line with tertiary education reforms and the authority delegated by the President. Since the NSYSU was established at Sizhiwan in 1980, the Secretariat has advised the head of the university and managed university affairs. In August, 2005, the Secretariat set up two sections to consolidate our activities and improve administrative efficiency.
(1) Division of General Affairs:Responsible for the president's itinerary, meeting minutes, VIP reception, document reviews, official correspondence and writing.
(2) Division of Public Relations and Resoures:Responsible for student recruitment, fund-raising, media relations, school introduction and NSYSU news.
The Secretariat embraces the principle of "education supported by administration" in school affairs. Apart from emphasizing horizontal coordination, consolidation and professionalism, we also value vertical communication, coordination and cooperation. "Personal integrity and harmony during execution" are therefore expected.
